I am running RedHat 5.1 and have just upgraded the kernel package from
2.0.34 to 2.0.35. I took care to preserve all of the 2.0.34 files
(/boot/vmlinuz-2.0.34-0.6, /boot/System.map-2.0.34-0.6,
/boot/module-info-2.0.34-0.6, /lib/modules/2.0.34-0.6/), and put them back
after RPM removed them. Booting 2.0.35 works just fine. When I boot my
2.0.34 image, however, I now get "can't open an initial cconsole". Does
anyone know what I have done wrong, forgotten to do, or whatever?

Thanks.
