As a general rule, it would be far more helpful if you were to give full
details regarding exactly what you have already tried (what have you put
into conf.modules, what have you done to rc.init, etc.). Otherwise, those
who wish to be of help may spend a lot of unnecessary time writing up
something about what you have already tried. Also, it would be good to
know what the precise syptoms are, e.g. what does "ifconfig eth1" say.
I don't say these things to give you a hard time. It's just good advice
for anyone seeking help, which probably needs to be said, and which your
request gave occasion to say, once in a while. It is always a good idea to
try to minimize the amount of time which another needs to spend by
furnishing as much information as posisble right up front. I love helping
people, as I'm sure many others do too, but I'm sure that I am speaking
equally for them when I say that it is often frustrating to attempt to
answer "in the dark".
