I have managed to get connected to the internet in Xwindows using ppp. I
can go to various ftp sites so it must mean that I have the dns stuff
running somewhat. For instance when I am in an xterm, I can ftp
ftp.redhat.com and get connected.
When I try to use Netscape, I must setup a proxy as the ISP here in the UAE
requires (I don't need one for FTP). When I try to set up the proxy via the
netscape preferences window, it can't ever seem to find the proxy and
therefore won't let me connect. It also won't save the setup either. I am
assuming that it will when I finally get connected.
Has anyone had this problem before?
