You cannot just use any old IRQ and base address combination ... you must
use those which match the card's current settings. The parameters to the
kernel module do not cause it to reconfigure your card ... they merely
instruct the module regarding what it must do to successfully communicate
with the already configured card.

Find out exactly how the card has been configured, and then use those, and
only those, settings. If its current settings conflict with a device which
you are already using, then recongifure it first so that there is no
conflict.

That's because that card has been configured to use that particular
address.
