Hi,
First you need to get your modem up and running. The How-to's are good for that,
ISP-howto, serial-howto.
I would then suggest using Diald (Dialing on demand daemon). It will allow auto
dialing and connecting with your ISP when you try to access a program that uses
the Internet.
