Hello,
I am having problems with Netscape 3.04 and the
JavaPlugin. Because of Netscape crashes, I normally run Netscape using
libc 5.4.33 instead of my normal 5.4.46. (This is the only way
Netscape will execute Java applets on my system.) Last night I
downloaded and installed the JavaPlugin. (For those not in the know
the JavaPlugin allows you to run Java applets using the JRE instead of
a runtime built into the browser.) The plugin requires libc 5.4.44. So
I have the following interesting problem: I can run Netscape with the
latest libc5 and use the plugin, or I can run Netscape using 5.4.33
and run regular applets. Does anyone know of any workarounds, fixes,
or tricks I can use so that Netscape can run regular applets and
applets through the plugin without crashing or running two versions?

Any and all help apprecated!

joseph
