G'day everyeone. I finally got Slakware 4.0 to install from the cd onto my
laptop with UMSDOS. Worked like a charm...no errors, no problems. Also got
X to run... pain in the butt command (STARTX -- -bpp 16) but I just made a
nice little script file to execute that for me :)
The problem I have now, is that durring setup, it detected my modem (saw
that it was there). But now when I either try KDE-ppp or when I try
pppsetup (ppp-go) it doesn't work. My ISP uses DHCP protocall so I can't
actually put in a static IP where it asks for one. HELP? Thanks.
P.S: Get a new ISP is not a good answer :) j/k
