Hello... I connect to the internet via dial-up connection and everything worked ok until we installed a mailserver for local mails! I had my email domain listed in /etc/sendmail.cf under "my official domain name" : Djhrzpub.tu-darmstadt.de Otherwise I got a "hostname must excist" message from some mailservers !! This is probably not the right way to do this, but it worked. But with this setting, I can't send any mails to the local net !! So I removed this line form sendmail.cf (not remembering what errors I got before) and things started working (both for local and internet) until I recieved the error message from some mailserver ... So I now ask : How do I config sendmail to diffrentiate between local and internet mails ?? I otherwise use fetchmail to retrieve both local and internet mails, without any problems !!
