Here is a message whenever I try to spawn a process in expect scripts:

spawn telnet inca
The system has no more ptys. Ask your system administrator to create
more.
    while executing
"spawn telnet $argv"
    (file "/usr/local/scripts/tel" line 4)

The script worked before (rhedhat 5.0). I am working off a clean install
of RH6.0. I had the same problem from the rh6.0 upgrade that I have been
complaining about for the last week.

I have loads of pty devices (256 to be exact) and they are all of the form
crw-rw-rw- 1 root tty 2, 175 May 5 1998 /dev/ptyzf

Any ideas what this means?

Better by far you should forget and smile than that you should remember
and be sad.
