Sure ... no problem just make sure you run

# lilo

after you copy over the kernel.

Subject: general purpose kernel

Any posiblilites to pre-compile a small kernel, which work on all
machines(those machines that I am having). So that I can just copy the
/vmlinuz(I am using slakware) to all the other machines, and it will
works.

No modules reference, work on 486-sx, min 4M ram, serial support, 2
types of network card included(ne2000 and 3com509) thats it.

I am using Slackware, kernel 2.0.36. I am having problem when compile
this kernel in pentium and put in under the 4M ram 486sx, I did use 486
CPU and math's emulation. I can't dump out the warning message using
dmesg. Anyway to dump out the complete message while boot time.
