When trying something like
copy * /tmp
from a zip disk, I get errors like this:

ide-floppy: hdd: I/O error, pc = 28, key = 4, asc = 47, ascq = 0
end_request: I/O error, dev 16:44 (hdd), sector 1753

I have recently upgraded to RH6.0 and this worked fine in 5.0. The disk
is fine, and continues to work in other 5.0 and 5.2 linux boxes. The data
doesn't seem corrupted, and fsck returns no errors or warnings.

System: RH 6.0 linux on pentium 166
IDE Zip disk
mounted as
/dev/hdd4 /zip vfat user,uid=504,noauto 0 0
/dev/hdd /zip.e ext2 defaults,user,noauto 0 0
(errors on both types).

VFAT is compiled into the kernel, as is removable floppy support.

Any takers?
