hi there.. i'm running redhat 6 and it seems to all be working ok but.. i keep seeing in var/log/messages where zone transfers take place after each boot.. the transfer is from my secondary which is my upstream providor. am i right that this means that i am running a caching only nameserver? this is apparantly the default when installing redhat 6 isn't it? i found a procedure to manually create the zonefiles in directories under /var/named.. but i wonder if it is correct or if there is a utility that will generate these files for me... the procedure i found is at http://linuxmafia.org/dns.phtml and it looks like what i want to do.. but i may be way off base here. i would appreciate a little direction. i don't want to start down another wrong turn here.. thanks for your time folks :) TJ
