Hello:
I'm trying to print to a HP DeskJet 870Cse printer attached to an
intel Netport and am running into some difficulty.
Here is my /etc/printcap file:
lp:\
:rm=:netwrx1-ptr\
:rp=:LPT1_PASSTHRU\
:mx#0:\
:sh:\
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp:
I can successfully ping the intel box with a
ping netwrx1-ptr
The queue is set as:
[root@eagle lpd]# ll /var/spool/lpd
total 1
drwxr-xr-x 2 daemon daemon 1024 Dec 2 02:26 lp
and I've done the lpc commands per the Intel Readme
[root@eagle lpd]# lpc enable lp
[EMAIL PROTECTED]: enabled
[root@eagle lpd]# lpc start lp
[EMAIL PROTECTED]: started
Here is the problem...When I do a
lpr -p lp /etc/printcap
It shows the following in the 4 files in lp, yet no output ever comes
from the printer....
