Yep, if it is postscript capable, then that's the one to use.
I assume that you are using "printtool" for doing this. (Personally,
I've never had it fail for me for configuring printers, both local and
network).

I have dhcpd set up for the printer's configuration, and have a dns
entry for it. So here I use a name instead of an IP and this approach
works fine. Just make sure you can ping it (I assume you can).
