Hi all
Here's some new discoveries on this.

Yesterday i figured out how to mount my old Mitsumi 1Xspeed Cd-rom under linux ( had 
to manually "insmod mcd mcd=0x340,5" before mounting ).
Guess what happended! Yes the files and dir's on the Cd get's truncated in the exact 
same way as files and dir's on my vfat partition.

Now I really don't see any logic in this.
Could there be some global setting which is affecting this?
