I have a Linux box acting as a mail server for a small network of Windows 98 machines. Mail is retrieved from the ISP by the Linux box and then split into users mail boxes using Sendmail. The users then retrieve their mail by Microsoft Outlook using the pop3 protocol (ipop3d on the Linux box). What I want to do now is have the linux box inform the user that mail is present without the user needing to start outlook. Dave West E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Semiras Projects Ltd. PGP public key available on request.
