Hi all,
I have a network consisting of Win 98 clients and a Linux server.
What I want to do is when e-mail is present on the Linux box a message
should be sent to the appropriate user. I have part of the solution, I can
use samba to send the message to the "Winpopup" tool but How can I tell if
that user is logged on? There is no point sending the message when the
user is not logged on as the message will be lost. However when the user
does log on I want to send the message straight away and then send more
messages as more mail appears provided the user is logged on.

Another thing I want is some way to synchronise login passwords
between the Win98 clients and the Linux box. Is this possible?
