I want to set up a cache peer using squid, which is used after my
server's cache is queried. I have been ngiven two possible
configurations...
The first uses ICP, which introduces some overheads, which I'd much
rather avoid.
cache_peer proxy.cache.someone.net parent 3128 3130
and the second doesn't use ICP..
cache_peer proxy.cache.someone.net parent 3128 0 no-query
prefer_direct off
Which would you recommend? That will not replace my servers' existing
cache?
