Let me rephrase...

I am looking for some linux based (perl, java, C++ whatever), package
that I can install on my server that will provide chat access for my
customers. It will onlyt be my customers, since it checks the username
and passwd in /etc/shadow. ie. server software, not client.

Preferrably, it will allow multiple chat rooms and will work with both
netscape and msie.

I am running linux-2.2.16.

Any one know of any packages. I've had a look on linux files, freshmeat,
sourceforge and sunsite, but didn't have any luck finding anything.
