After you add the mount points to the /etc/fstab file they will mount
automatically upon boot, provided you specify them as automount.  Follow
the examples of the other linux ext2 fielsystem entries in the fstab
file.   Also 'man fstab' and 'man mount'.

I use loadlin to boot Linux as booting with lilo presents a problem with
vmware (it did for me anyway).  I added the string "apm=power-off" after
the kernel name on the command line.  When using lilo, I believe this
would be put in the 'append' line in /etc/lilo.conf.  Then you would type
'lilo'  as root to have it take effect before re-booting.

This would depend on which distribution you are running.  I run SuSE, and
there is a parm in the /etc/rc.config file which you manually edit and
change the line "KBD_NUMLOCK=no" to ..."=yes".  Dunno about other
distro's.
