BTW, the new PC processes one work unit in ~9hours.  It's blazingly
fast (especially to one used to the 486/66 like me).  Once again, hats
off to Amit Kalra for spending days looking for exactly the
configurations and cards I wanted rather than using the time to make
tons of money selling 800x600 PC's to clueless home lusers.

Got the LG 775FT yesterday.  Flickers a /tiny/ bit at 1280x1024,
manages upto 1152x900 just fine.  Next step is to get the UPS cable
and get powerd and friends working properly so that the computer
automatically shuts off when the power is gone and UPS battery is low.
