you didn't tell me how to store these configurations? i.e. sometimes i
want to run only a few processes at boot time, sometime a few more. so
does init 4 or init 6 or init 7 solve the problem? but this assumes
that i would want the differing configurations to be a cascading
superset(s) of the basic lean set? what if i need some
non-overlapping sets?
maybe we will take this discussion off line. it was much nicer to just
pick up the phone when you were in the mtnl range!
