Hi, I browsed over the Redhat site, but was unable to come up any information, regarding comptability over the differenet versions of the Redhat Linux. I have some queries :- 1. Are the various verisons of kernel shipped backward compatible ? For instance 6.1 ships kernel 2.2.12. Is this compatible with 6.2 kernel 2.2.14 ? 2. Are the versions of libc/gcc compatible over the Redhat versions ? And if a C/C++ executable compiled on 6.1 have any problems in running on 6.2 ? 3. Is Redhat making any comments on upward / downward compatibilty ? Please send in any info. regarding the same.
