>From now onwards, beware... even branded pcs might not come with an official
copy of ms windows. And i hav serious doubts as to what good a home comp
will be if it only runs linux. There are way too many apps for home comps
which are good only under linux (e.g. games). This is a good step for linux,
but i doubt if this is not just another way to cut costs of branded pcs v/s
assembled pcs. Withought an official windows copy the pcs wud be cheaper by
abt 2-4k. and the dealer can always install a pirated copy of windows!!!
