Is anyone out there using diald and IP masquerading with a MacOS client
using Linux as the router? I am seeing the following problem on the Mac
client. When the Mac makes a request and no link is open (i.e. diald has to
make a new connection), while the connection process appears to go
normally, the Mac applications put up a DNS nameserver error. This is
really bogus and dismissing the error dialog usually results in normal
service. It looks like the error is triggered because the combination of
diald and IP masquerading takes too long for the Mac and to the Mac it
appears like a namer service error. Has anyone seen this? Any way I can
adjust diald timeing to compensate?
thanks,
