In your /etc/ppp/options or wherever you need the following :-

+ua /etc/ppp/chap-secrets
name youruserid

then in /etc/ppp/chap-secrets put:-

youriserid
yourpassword

What do I use for my connect script if I am using PAP auth.?  I have been
using diald for about 10mo. using a regular old character based script.  I
recently had to change to PAP authentication and can't figure out how I need
to setup the connect entry in diald.conf.
