I build a new Linux server from scratch 2.0.34 then updated to
2.0.35.
Then brough my 2.0.27 control files that have been working for
years just great.
Diald fails
I installed rpm diald 5.5
Then installed diald 16.5.1a source and compiled
p-166.
Still fails
The log file on my old server shows Running pppd by diald
after chat sends the password.
This is missing, after chat sends the password then diald
reports a failure and terminates
with "Connect Script Fails".
As an added problem inetd does not auto start. I think I
though it was inn and told the installer
not to start the daemond. So how do I start it? I put it
in rc.local for lack of better ideas.
