Thanks to Andrew Beebe I managed to get diald compiled under RedHat5.2.
The solution was to apply the patch available from diald home page.
Interesting - why it didn't made it to Sunsite yet?
Diald works just fine with my RH5.2 kernel version 2.0.36.
The connection I am on now has beeen established by diald.
