Hi there,
I have just subscribed to this list and wasn't able to find any
list-archives following the links on the diald homepage, so I apologise if
this is being or has recently been discussed. Normally I would lurk for a
few days before asking any questions but this one is urgent.
>From the man pages it would seem that the 'keepalive' option should be used
to disconnect an idle connection. However, my diald doesn't recognise the
option and complains when I put it into diald.conf.
I am running diald 0.16-5 on redhat 5.2, kernel 2.0.36. I have slip with
linefill and keepalive enabled, and ppp compiled into the kernel. What is
the mistake I am making? None of the other timeout options appear to relate
to an idle connection.
Thanks for your time,
Tom.
