G'day everyone yet again!

This problem isn't neccessarily related to diald, but to using Linux as an
Internet gateway.

Diald now works like a charm, thanks to the people how helped me with my
last problem. The IP masquarading also works fine. However, identd is
leaving the following messages in the /var/log/messages file.

May 20 11:04:59 comms3 identd[18979]: Connection from hermes.iaccess.com.au
May 20 11:04:59 comms3 identd[18979]: Returned: 63158 , 25 : NO-USER
May 20 11:05:56 comms3 identd[18983]: Connection from student.uq.edu.au
May 20 11:05:56 comms3 identd[18983]: Returned: 63161 , 23 : NO-USER

This is just a sample from today. hermes.iaccess.com.au is the mail server
at out ISP, which continually gets contacted. student.uq.edu.au is a
university server which I telneted to. What do these messages mean?
Eudora on the networked 95 machines seems to work OK, yet these messages
give me the impression that something isn't working as it should be. I
have no idea what identd does, and have left its configuration alone. The
hermes.iaccess.com.au NO-USER messages appears quite frequently, sometimes
up to 1 a minute.

If anyone could tell me the meaning of the messages, I would appreciate it
greatly.

Also, in dctrl, Is the packet/connection queue a list of packets waiting to
be sent, or a list of packets already sent. This queue appears to list all
the TCP/IP packets sent from the LAN, even though everything appears to
work fine.

Cheers,

Michael Hallman
