You will need a couple of lines in your diald.conf file.
ignore udp udp.source=4000
ignore udp udp.dest=4000
This will keep your link from coming up on ICQ traffic and it will also
keep it from staying up. If someone has any active ICQ session, this will
not keep the link up. To stop it from bringing the link up and still have
it keep the link up if it is already up you would need something like the
following:
accept udp 120 udp.source=4000
ignore udp udp.dest=4000
This would say ignore packets with a destination port of udp 4000 but accept
them for a source of 4000, which is how it works. Your client sends out on a
port usually greater than 1024 and the server listens on a specific port
depending on the service requested, in this case 4000.
ignore means don't bring up the link or keep it up.
accept means bring up the link, and keep it up
the 120 in the accept means each time I see traffic reset the diald
timer to 2 minutes if it is lower than that.
Then as long as your firewall is set to accept traffic through port 4000
you should be OK.
