I was getting all that stuff as well. I tried some of the suggestions from
the list (eg. there's a patch on the diald home page) but all that changed
were the error messages ("make depend" ran okay but "make" didn't. The RPM
packages look a lot more promising (I'm using Redhat 5.0) if you're using a
Redhat system. If so you could try :
ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/distributions/redhat/contrib/hurricane/i386/
or whatever's appropriate for your version of Redhat. It seemed to install
okay but I haven't really tried to get it running yet.
