If you are talking about login passwords, you should use a chat program
more powerful than "chat".  I use expect (useful for many applications,
not just diald).  Expect can open up another window to gather input.

Under the circumstances, though, you might be better off just using pppd
instead of diald.  (Or perhaps you could rig up an electrical eye (and
mechanical arm?) system to manage the securid card. :-)
