There are indeed issues compiling diald on Redhat 5.1. Due to some
name changes and header file changes within the linux source, a
straight compile will stop with a nasty error message after having
thrown out a load of warnings.
There are two solutions: I understand there are code patches out there
somewhere, so you could try those; however I would recommend using the
rpm file diald-0_16_5-201_i386.rpm available from any good linux ftp
site (I used sunsite.doc.ic.ac.uk). This should install with no
problems.
