Should be possible in theory but I've not got the experience to do
it. A process could run on the diald box that monitors the diald
status and listens on a tcp or udp socket. When a win95 app connects
to this port the current status is given and the win95 app updates
its display accordingly.

An alternative, and possibly easier, way is to create a samba share
with a status file containing diald's info in it. The win95 app then
just reads the file and displays the status graphically.

Any takers?
