I've made version 0.5 of dialmon available. This contains quite a lot of new
stuff, so its
quite possible that I've introduced some bugs, especially for configurations
that I don't
use (eg., the "manual" mode). Becuase of this, I've not uploaded it to
sunsite.unc.edu, but it is available at
ftp://195.92.31.44/pub/dialmon-0.5.tgz. I'd rather like it if some people
could take it for a spin and give me some feedback before it hits the big
bad world.

The two big changes are:

(a) Organization - the daemon was getting a bit on the big size for a single
source file, so it's been split into several smaller chunks. I hope nothing
has been broken in the process.

(b) Function - the packet queue which diald outputs is processed a bit and
then sent on to the clients. The Win95 client can display this, Win31
doesn't. The queue is (by default) packed to collapse duplicate
destination:port addresses, the IP address is converted to a name
(jiggery-pokery so it can't block), and the port is cenverted to a service.

Have fun
Mike Richardson
