Greetings,
I am not able to establish a ppp session with my ISP via diald. Diald
does dial successfully, but almost instantly drops the connection. If I
run diald in the daemon mode (-daemon) and use debug, I can watch the
activity. Once the modems complete the negotiation, I see the pppd
process begin. At that point, I get :
sh: modem: command not found
I am using Redhat 5.0, with diald 0.16.5a--- I am able to connect
successfully via my own ppp/chat scripts.
Has anyone seen this sort of message before (sh: modem: command not
found)? Is there any other debug levels that might help me decipher
what is going on at the point pppd is being called by diald?
Any thoughts, assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,
Ben
