I realize this is a bit of a stretch for this forum, but many of you have
been helpful on similar issues so maybe someone knows the answer to this.

My NT workstation system has suddenly started doing DNS lookups when I boot.
They actually happen right after I logon and according to the syslog on my
DNS box they're for the America Online server (I reach AOL via my ISP), and
my favorite IRC server. It seems that NT is keeping the last couple of
hosts in a cache somewhere and doing a "pre-fetch" on those names at startup
time.

Problem is it's causing my Linux-Diald-IPMasq gateway to dial my ISP every
time I start NT which is a little annoying.

Anyone know why this is happening and how I can turn it off? Thanks much.
