Sorry all,
I remember myself that the following problem was discussed in this
forum, but just can't find the relevant mails.

I had a plain vanilla RedHat5.1 with kernel 2.0.34-0.6 and pppd-2.3.3-4
and it worked fine under diald-0.16-5a

Now I upgraded pppd daemon to pppd-2.3.5-2 (hm, where did I get patch level 2,
can't find it anymore on rufus.3w.org ?). It does not work. The error is

/usr/sbin/pppd: error in loading shared libraries
: undefined symbol: __bzero

I tried 2.0.36-3 kernel as well with the same result.

I think I remember the answer for this problem was posted sometime ago.
Could anybody remind me, what should be done ?
As well, are there other fine points in using
kernel 2.0.36 - pppd-2.3.5 - diald-0.16-5a combination versus my old
kernel 2.0.34 - pppd-2.3.3 - diald-0.16-5a one ?

Sorry for not swithching yet to 2.2 kernels and diald-0.98 !

                        Regards, Dmitri Pogosyan
