Some more details from my last sketchy email...

any ideas, or, hey stupid, you forgot this - would be appreicated.

It looks like that diald is setting up two connections, and just as the
lock is removed of the /dev/ttyS2, the other makes the modem hang up,
and crashes the first connection... or maybe not, I can't really follow
the debug session very well...
