Make that five (5) messages, plus the two (including this one) I have
sent..

I doubt this, as I do not use linux, freebsd, or any other form of the
famed free-and-appropriately-priced OS, and the person whose message I
first got is aware of this.

>Most unix users use a text based mail reader and are therefore immune
I prefer text-based software because I learned that way, but I don't use
Unix. I don't use a text-based mailer at this time because, as you can
all see, I use Hotmail.

>to viral attacks by simply opening a piece of mail. Even people who
... I suppose there are a few JAVA exploits to Hotmail, but I turn off
java, javascript, autoinstall, and any other annoying-looking function I
can find..

>Frankly, anyone who uses a mailer that will automatically execute
>arbitrary code contained in a data transfer from an unknown source
... Most people don't KNOW that their mailer will do that, and most of
the mailers which do do so due to a buffer overflow, and obviously are
not intended to do so.. so a person can't really decide NOT to use
one...

If the users truly had a choice, I'd agree.

>Just my $.02,
... Now if I could really make money from these e-mails, I might be
happy to read them every single day..
