I have had diald up and running in two or three configurations. It
does work and well. I have also been experimenting with another
method.
Telnet. I telnet to the gateway and use the alias "pu" to get ppp up
and running. It works every time.. Not knowing much perl, I cannot do
it, but couldn't a small perl script be used to telnet in do a "pu",
watch for connection then exit gracefully. I know this does not utilize
watching for packets to start it but what else is wrong with this
idea??? And couldn't a package watcher be set up? Or is this what
diald does anyway??
Thanks for the fun!!!!!!
