Hi
Messenger does seek the Netscape's site. You can click on a message in the
in-box which stops it or edit one of the configuration files. Look at the
Netscape site for instructions. Quite an annoying feature with no easy way
to
fix.
Hi
I've had this problem as well, I did eventually find the info on the
netscape web site
Here goes
Exit Communicator by choosing exit from the file menu, make sure this is
done as any changes will be lost if you do it while communicator is running,
in windows this is best done after a reboot to ensure that none of the
netscape processes are running
Locate the preferences file (in win prefs.js) there will be one of these per
user, open it in notepad of another editor, ignore the do not edit warning
at the top. At the end type the following
user_pref("mailnews.start_page.enabled",false);
if you wish to load another page other than the messenger page add the
following instead
user_pref("mailnews.start_page.enabled",true);
user_pref("mailnews.start_page.url","http://www.xxx.xxx");
the disable definately works have not tried the other yet
