Ah yes. I had this problem when I first got diald. It's to do with
library versions libc5 and libc6 I think. The source expects the former
but redhat from v5.1 on uses the latter (something like that).

The simple way to deal with it (without finding out all about libraries
and compilers and how to fettle things) is to get the appropriate rpm and
install that.  This gave me no problems at all.

I got mine from:
ftp://sunsite.doc.ic.ac.uk/pub/Mirrors/contrib.redhat.com/libc6/i386/diald16-0.16.5a-2.i386.rpm

but any mirror of contrib.redhat.com will do (the closer to home the
better).
