Sorry if this has been already asked but I could'n access the archives...
So: as soon as I start diald (only used it from the shell prompt, did not
used it from rc.local), it tries to connect to my ISP. That means one
connection which is not needed at that moment.
Since on of the ideas behind using diald was to cut down telecomm costs...
you get the picture.
