I have seen this advice several times before. My SuSE 6.1 has an option
to do an echo a "1" to ip_dynaddr in one of the boot scripts. I set that
option and all seems to work OK.

When I look at this file it only talks about echo 0, 1, and 2. No
mention is made of 5 or 7 (which I have also seen recommended). Is there
somewhere the 5 and 7 are described? Are these actually bit flags?
