Windows Critical Update Notification

Hi all

I had a frustrating time over the last couple of days due
to my diald continuously trying to bring up the link to
my ISP. I think I have tracked the problem down to the
Microsoft Windows Critical Update Notification system
trying to connect out. I have uninstalled the update
software from my Win 98 PC and it is now behaving itself
again.
