Normally in the same place than the kernel messages, unless you modify
/etc/conf.syslog

echo "debug 127" > /etc/diald/diald.ctl
tail -f /var/log/messages
This will work in a RH system, where kernel messages are logged in
/var/log/messages. The /etc/diald/diald.ctl is a named pipe that you create
with 'mkfifo' (it may be already there). One of diald options tell it where it
will be located.
The 'debug 127' put full debugging. Look at 'man diald' and 'man diald-control'
for more details about the debug flags and other control messages.
