Can't Locate module...

When I startup diald, I get the following error:

modprobe: can't locate module tap0
...
modprobe: can't locate module tap15

I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but diald doesn't seem 
to dial out either...the last thing that happens is:

chat[646]: expect (MODEM_INIT="ATZ")

Then nothing... Any help would be much appreciated of course.
