I tried to search the archives of this List but never got the right URL.
Both links mentioned in the old Diald Homepage didn't work. So
I'm sorry if the following is a faq on this list.
I've set up a Pentium III with Suse 6.1 and want to connect to my
ISP with ppp and diald (latest version). Kernel is 2.2.10. local and remote
ip adress are dynamic. ppp-up and ppp-down scripts are already functional.
So I used the ppp-chat script for diald. For the first few days everything
worked great. But after rebooting the System, the chat command invoked
by diald fails to with the following message:
chat[...]: can't get terminal parameters: Invalid argument
there's also sometimes the diald message:
diald[...]: failed to set terminal attributes: Invalid arguments
